In a year that has posed numerous challenges for many of our customers, the decision to hold onto existing machinery rather than trade it in is understandable. We recognise that investing in new equipment may not be feasible for everyone right now. That’s why we’re committed to helping you get the most out of your current machines. With the right assessment, repair, and maintenance, older equipment can continue to perform at its best.
We firmly believe in the durability and longevity of the manufacturers we partner with; when maintained properly, their machines can serve you reliably for decades. In this article, we’ll explore practical steps to assess, repair, service, and even upgrade your older equipment, ensuring that it continues to meet your needs for years to come.
Assess the machine
First things first, let’s check how the machine is currently, addressing damage and wear at the earliest opportunity can help to reduce repair bills immensely. Thoroughly check your machine and note down what is wearing down and what is no longer working correctly. Call 015395 60833 for a quote on these parts.
We can do these assessments for you for only £55 plus VAT at any of our four depots across the north of England or entirely free at Skipton or Levens if it's an MF or Fendt tractor over 5 years old that qualifies for SMARTcheck.
Service the machine
